So I haven’t met Clarice and Joawen for a long time, and when we arranged to meet last Thurs night, we decided we would go ghost hunting.
The venue was set to be Seletar Camp, it’s the most ideal place if we seriously wanna bump into any creature of the netherworld, afterall it’s an old abandoned, dark camp, with the size of a huge reservoir, what more could a homeless soul ask for, right.
To add numbers to our group, we decided to call Derek and Amanda along.
Derek – the only guy in the group, we were hoping to have some protection from his ‘yang qi’.
Amanda – just in case we bumped into any ‘tee kok gui’, she can best handle him or it.
So we arranged to meet 8pm, Jalan Kayu public carpark, cos’ we were going in 2 cars. Amanda and I reached at 7.50pm. Derek and the girls were nowhere in sight. When I called them, they were stuck in a traffic jam at Orchard.
Oh well. So Auntie Amanda and I went into a little action on our own.
We were practicing our worst “expressions” to scare the ghosts later.
She wasn’t doing a good job, so I told her to try harder.
Ok nevermind, that’s the best she can go. Looks no much worse to me.
Then we waited for the 3 of them...
And waited...
And finally at 8.20pm, Derek’s car rolled in…
And they were really excited!
And off into the dark we went…(My side profile is damn chubby!)
We drove into Seletar Camp.
An hour of driving later, no wondering souls in sight, except for a few Bangladesh workers walking back to their quarters.
And suddenly, we chanced upon this!
I was hit by the aroma of bbq chicken wing, the loud cheers of some ang mohs toasting to their beer and I spotted a cute-looking waiter from afar…
And so our ghost-busting adventure came to a stop, we decided we would forget about the hungry ghosts, for we are hungry ourselves…
Into the no-smoking zone we went…for none of us are smokers, only 'smoke' story.
And tuck in to the food we did!
Juicy buffalo wings!
(Blinded by the flash? Didn't I already say the place was pitch dark? And erm, I'm really bad with camera settings too!)
BTW, the serving came in 6 pieces, but you can see the hungry ghosts already took 3 immediately after the waiter laid the plate.
Derek ordered hamburger, I was drooling over the cheese on it.
Amanda & Joawen ordered this, plain old fish&chips, for plain old them…(Oops!)
By now, you would have guessed that the whole ghost busters story was just bullshit!
Heh heh heh!
We went for dinner at Sunset Grill, Seletar Camp, lah!
But navigating our way in was a piss, beware, those of you who armour their cars with body kits, the bumps were really bad!
Anywayz, we took a group picture together…
Food was good - the buffalo wings, 3 chillies indicator on a scale 10 were too spicy for Derek’s liking. But we girls didn’t have any problem with that, we can take it HOT!
And lastly, just us, the girls, cos’ Derek was busy puking away.
Till we meet again!
