The poor Ah pek on the train

I really think every old uncle and aunty should use an earpiece to answer their handphone.

I’ll tell you why.

My ride on the train this morning…

Hokkien ringtone rings on train.
Ah pek: HELLO (in level 7 volume on a scale of 10 being the loudest)
Caller: (said something to Ah pek)
Ah pek: HUH?? HELLO?? Tia boh…
Caller: (I'm sure he said something again)
Ah pek: HUH?
Caller: (said something)
Ah pek: SI MI AH?? Wa tia boh…
Caller: (continue to try)
Ah pek: AHHHHHH...(I thought he got it)
Ah pek: EH, wa tia boh ley! HUH? (By now, he's close to level 9 volume)

I was sure I could hear him if I were 2 cabins away…poor Ah pek…I wonder why he didn’t develop a sore throat from all the shouting.

BTW, did I tell you that I have that problem with my ma as well!
