X'mas Shopping

OoOOOoO La La!

I've been busy with X'mas shopping!

Was out with Cat, Jace and Amanda last night. 4 of us checked out the new Icon Village at Tanjong Pagar and were met with disappointment. The place wasn't as bustling or vibrant as the mags made it out to be.

Well, maybe it was the rain. Or maybe it was after office hours (that location seems to cater more for lunch-time shopping).

10 minutes and 1 round the area later, we decided to hit Bugis instead.

WOW! What a change in Bugis!

The basement has taken on a new look, complete revamp in its basement!

There are so many small eateries selling interesting snacks, like Mochi ice-cream, chewy bread, desserts, puffs, pies, drinks, fries, oooooooooo whatever and anything you name it, they have it!

We stopped by one of the stalls and was convinced to buy 2 baskets of fries after some sampling.

The selling pitch the guy over the counter used - "They are not frozen fries, they are fresh fries."

HUH? What are "freeeeesssssshhhhh" fries anyway?

Simply, just fries peeled and scraped on the spot. So just say "They are peeled and scraped on the spot lah!" FRESH fries!

So much for "fresh" fries, these are FRESH fries with chilli crab sauce!

Tasty but spicy!

These are FRESH fries with cheddar cheese, sour cream and bacon bits. I likey!

Then, we SHOP, we SHOP, and we SHOP SHOP SHOP for the next 3 hours!

I'll not post pictures of the presents I bought, just so that I don't spoil the surprise.

Rather, look what we've bought for ourselves. Put 4 girls together and they try to buy the cart home. We bought 10 pairs of earrings and 5 necklaces!

FOR OURSELVES!

Our explanation - the designs are really unique and pretty, they are from Korea and you don't see them commonly in any other shops.

Isn't she pretty too? Go check out the actual set-up there, my 2M handphone doesn't do her justice.

We had dinner only at 10.30pm at one of the HongKong cafes across the street.

The warm honey lemon drink was just the soother for my throat and tired senses.

And oh, a simple bowl of nissin noodles with ham and egg but just the homely meal to fill my stomach.

I've got more to buy over the next few days, it's so gratifying to see the names checked off one by one on my shopping list.

Just 14 days to X'mas!
