Out at the Animal Farm

It was great to see the sun today, after weeks of cloudy skies and wet weather. So, we brought Cheery to the Animal Farm at Seletar.

Those of you with kids, it's an interesting place to bring the little ones.

The minute we reached the place, Cheery got the attention of this golden retriever pup, barking at her continuously.

But my girl didn't seem too interested.

Some pictures I took, trying to work on my photography skills.

An old grandpa stork.

Long wait for these dogs at the grooming centre (and reflection of my huge bum and Mike's ah-chek sandal).

A graceful swan ...

Who's happy to be fed.

Peeping tom.

And he must be very hungry too, to be chewing on plastic!

What an interesting way to pose though.

A shy cassowary, from Australia. We were told it's the world's 2nd largest bird, and it kicks ass!

(Cassowaries are known to defend themselves by kicking violently, and several people in the world have been killed by them this way!)

Cheery was this little size when I brought her back at 2-month old.

And look what I found - an old abandoned trishaw.

Pictures of Cheery on a free run.

"OOoOo, an obstacle course?"

"Easy feat for me!"

"What's next?"

Showing off her true Scottish spirit!

"Daddy, here I come!"

(Cheery belongs to the West Highland White Terrier breed, commonly known as Westies for short. And her ancestors originate from Western Scotland.)

"Told ya was an easy feat."

"Pant, pant, pant, I need water."

And that was her day, boy, were we tired.
